At Delhi Public World School, Subhanpur, the House System is a unique and dynamic structure designed to promote teamwork, leadership, and holistic development among students. Under this setup, students from every class—from Grade I to XII—are equally divided into four houses, each named after one of India’s major rivers. These rivers represent the rich cultural legacy and geographical diversity of the nation and are also identified by distinct colours:
• Brahmaputra House
• Kaveri House
• Narmada House
• Yamuna House
Each house is mentored by a dedicated House Teacher and led by a responsible House Captain, instilling leadership and a sense of accountability in students.
To nurture talents and foster a spirit of healthy competition, the school regularly organizes a variety of Inter-House Competitions. A fixed weekday is designated for house activities, providing students a consistent platform to express themselves beyond academics. Throughout the academic year, each house is also given a specific duration during which it conducts special assemblies, cultural events, and other co-curricular activities.
We believe in 100% student participation, ensuring that every child is engaged through a wide array of house-based events, including celebrations of festivals, debates, quizzes, art, music, sports, and more. This inclusive approach helps students develop confidence, discover their strengths, and work as part of a team.
The house system at DPWS Subhanpur is not just a framework—it is a celebration of unity, diversity, and excellence, aimed at the overall growth of every student.
